THIBAULT Margot

I conducting research on plastic pollution in the South-West Indian Ocean, to investigate pollution on the ocean surface, on remote islands, and through ingestion by bio-indicator species (Barau's petrel and Loggerhead sea turtle). Methods include manta trawling, visual surveys, long-term monitoring, and polymer identification using ATR-FTIR spectroscopy. I'm a member of the Expert Group of Marine Litter and Microplastic from the WIOMSA, as the Reunion Island referent.
Currently, I'm doing my postdoc on marine litter beached on Sainte Marie Island (Madagascar), Eparses Islands and Reunion Island.
